September Theme of the Month - National Preparedness Month – Wrap Up

Each year September is National Preparedness Month. Every year, SERVPRO focuses the month around encouraging families to take this month seriously and participate in the activities outlined by Ready.gov.

This year’s tasks were based around working to keep your family safe during a disaster. The weekly tasks included making an emergency plan for your home, building home, car and work emergency kits, educating yourself about each type of potential disasters in your area, and teaching the local youth about the importance of being prepared. Ready.gov also does a great job of outlining and highlighting things you may not have considered previously, and helping you prepare for them.

Thank you to each family that followed along each week and completed the tasks. You have accomplished a lot this month and should be proud!

If you just now found out about the program, it is not too late! Our blog posts and Ready.gov stay up year around, it is not too late to work through each step. As the 2020 motto for #NationalPreparednessMonth says, “Disasters Don’t Wait. Make Your Plan Today.”
